Sparkmind.vc was founded in 2017 with a view of establishing the first Northern European venture capital fund management company focused on the learning sector. All our partners have extensive experience in the field of venture capital and a passion for learning and entrepreneurship.

Sparkmind.vc is a registered alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) under chapter 1 section 3 of the Finnish Act on Alternative Investment Funds Managers (162/2014). We are supervised by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority.

Sparkmind.vc is a member of the Finnish Venture Capital Association (FVCA) and complies with the association’s rules and guidelines.

Our fund, the Sparkmind Fund LP, was established in 2019 with a total amount of investment commitments of €55,3m.

Our funds

The Sparkmind Fund LP (the official company name being EduImpact Fund Ky) was established in 2019 with a total amount of investment commitments of €55,3m.  

The Sparkmind Fund LP makes venture capital investments, with a focus on the learning sector in Europe. The fund makes single investments up to €5m.

The Sparkmind Fund LP has sustainable investment as its objective in accordance with Article 9 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 (SFDR). Reporting and valuation guidelines

We follow Invest Europe’s Investor Reporting Guidelines in our investor reporting. The valuation of the portfolio is done in accordance with the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation (IPEV) Guidelines.
